The Sensory Space Scarborough C.I.C provides inclusive, interactive sensory experiences for children with additional needs and disabilities. Through pop-up sessions and community projects, we create safe, engaging environments for exploration, play and wellbeing, while working towards our goal of establishing a permanent, fully accessible sensory hub.
Butterwick Alpaca Retreat
Butterwick Alpaca Retreat is a small sensory farm and safe space to support people of all ages and abilities. We welcome and support our community and love to see people thrive and build confidence as it is well documented that spending time with animals within a peaceful sensory environment has magic, profound and positive impacts on those that need it the most.
S.E.N.S.E.S
SENSES is a registered charity that supports families of preschool children with additional learning, physical or medical needs in the Scarborough and surrounding area. We run coffee mornings every Monday morning during term times at Westway Open Arms. These are for any parent or carer of a child with additional needs. All our sessions are free of charge, and there is no need to book or have a referral. siblings are also welcome.

Julie is an experienced communication specialist teacher with over 25 years experience working in SEN classrooms. Julie qualified as a Makaton tutor 20 years ago. She is passionate about making communication fun, inclusive and accessible for all.
